Hey ya’ll! Welcome to my new website! I figure since this is my first post I will tell you how I started, and where I came from, to be here in front of you as the country singer McKaela. I grew up in the small town of Draper, Utah. I started singing like an opera singer when I was about 3 years old. . . my mom was worried I would hurt my voice, so she put me in singing lessons the earliest she could, which was 6 years old. I was fortunate to have incredible parents that always supported me! I’ve done singing lessons ever since, joined choirs and music groups. I started writing songs when I was 12 years old. . . I’m pretty sure I was terrible! But my parents always encouraged me to keep going, and grow in my abilities. I’ve recorded many songs in various genres, all bringing me to meet my Producer, and Co-Writer Jeff Tobey. We have been collaborating on an album since June of 2012. Talking through lyrics, massaging tones, and spending many hours late in the studio. With our experience and our hard work we feel like we can bring something new to the country scene! You’ll be the judge of that. . . . I will be releasing my first single from the album on Friday Oct 25th!! I’m so excited to share with all of you my work from the past year. I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
